Felted Fedora

My hat is finally dry. It's my first attempt at felting and it was F-U-N! Felting is pure alchemical magic. The yarn is Lamb's Pride worsted in Wild Oak. The pattern is Flowers on a Grave from the theanticraft.com site. The flower is from headhuggers. I decided to try to make it a fedora instead of a cloche. My inner bohemian hippie likes it!

WOW! I love it! Did you have to change the pattern as you were knitting to make a fedora, or was it all in the shaping as you were felting/drying? I'd love to know how you did it!

Thanks for the warm comments! :)

Laura, I decided on a whim to use an old straw cowboy hat (stuffed with washcloths) for blocking after already knitting the pattern as written.
