CompassionKnit Needs Hats
CompassionKnit is accepting knit hats, mittens, and scarves, which they distribute to homeless shelters, such as the Pine Street Inn in Boston. Their Web site has info.

People will put anything on their heads, it seems to me for two reasons: either it keeps them warm, or it makes them feel cute. A good woolly cap can well combine these functions. Elizabeth Zimmermann
