Newbie and Pixie hat

Hello all! I'm new to your group, so thought I'd write a quick message and share a hat I've just finished. I was inspired by the Pixie Ribbed hat but found the sizing to be too small on the pattern, so adapted it. It's made from Rowan Big Wool for the main body (which took less than an hour to knit) with some oddments for the crochet trim.

I've a complete woolly hat fetish, and tend to design my own.. well I start knitting with a lose idea in mind and see what develop's on the needles ;)
